5 Easy Steps to Find Out if Your Male Friend is a SUPER Creep

Background: The following was inspired by something that actually happened to me one day when helping a female acquaintance get a new job. Her name was Heather Bay and I was helping her fix up her résumé because she was looking for a new position and needed a cover letter and brush up on document language. I knew her through my best friend Franklin, he knew her through his girlfriend, Melanie. Melanie and Heather had gone to college together. I would have done it for free as a favor to Frank and Mel, but it didn’t hurt that she was cute and Frank and Melanie had been trying to set us up for awhile so I was game. Shooters shoot. Anyway, I digress, so I get onto LinkedIn to check out her stats and and résumé and start noticing strange things in the “people also viewed” section. Now, if you’re not familiar with this section, it’s basically saying “if you are interested in this person, you might also be interested in this person”. This is LinkedIn, useful for your average job search Joe but it is designed and tailored for people using it as a tool for recruiting job candidates (HR) and customers (sales)--I hope this is intuitive but no coincidence these are the people who make money using LinkedIn and therefore are more willing to pay for it than your average job search joe. Whatever, anyway, in all my experience this box has been tilted towards showing people that are in similar industries, companies or jobs. You know, most useful for HR and Sales people. For example, take a look at the LinkedIn page for Bob Coughlin, CEO of Paycor, a payroll saas company based out of cincinnati emerging as a major player in the industry currently jockeying for an IPO. Notice all of the “people also viewed” include random men and women , from Paycor and companies in similar industries. Also, they tend to be of a similar level—executives or from the higher end of mid level management.

One other thing—I replaced my friends face with that of famous hot girl Katherine Webb, former (?) girlfriend of then Alabama Quarterback AJ McCarron (sp? Too lazy to check). None of the stats about her (or the picture) are real, but literally every other thing is real including the photos/names of the "people also viewed" girls and their info. They showed up as general people, not my connections so nothing showing from them in private therefore I did not change it.

Now, with all of that as background, take a look at the below, 5 EASY STEPS TO FIND OUT IF YOUR MALE FRIEND IS A SUPER CREEP.

The Test

  1. Select a random attractive female you and your male friend both know and look her up on social media. Preferably a platform for professional services like LinkedIn. Something where you would not expect to find your friend being a creep, don’t want to set them up to fail.

  2. Go to that female’s page and view the “people also viewed” section. See red box below. Katherine Webb has been inserted in the photo and name/stats area but the "people also viewed" is from my friend Heather.

  1. Select the top 3-5 people on that ‘also viewed’ page. For attractive girls this will be other attractive girls from across the country who have absolutely nothing in common from a professional standpoint. NOTE: It is important these top people be totally random, make sure you do not recognize the names.

  2. On each of these girls pages, take a look at the “how you’re connected” part of the page – bottom right.

  3. THE TEST - If you have a friend who is connected to all of these seemingly unrelated females from across the country who have nothing more in common than being continually creeped by the same guy(s)….then your friend is a SUPER creep.

The End.
